Moment:
Inspired by the concept of 'flow state,' Atwood’s art delves into the profound mental state where individuals are wholly engrossed in a
singular task or activity. Atwood seek to encapsulate these moments of complete absorption and focus within his work, in another word:
Atwood seek to freeze time.
Analogous to losing oneself in a captivating book or engrossing hobby, the essence of flow lies in the seamless passage of time,
unnoticed and unhindered. Through this series of paintings, Atwood endeavor to capture these ephemeral instances by spontaneously
photographing his daily interactions with friends. This process can be challenging as he strive for authenticity, sometimes missing opportune
moments without the camera at hand.
Utilizing photography and expressive brushstrokes, Atwood aim to convey the sensation of total presence and involvement. Each artwork
serves as a snapshot of my personal journey while also encouraging viewers to relate to their own 'in the zone' experiences.
In a world brimming with distractions, Atwood’s art seeks to offer a sanctuary of tranquility—a gentle prompt to savor the simple beauty of
existing in the present moment.
“Intimate moment between Atwood’s roommate and his girlfriend, set against the backdrop of the coffee shop where he is employed. This scene unfolds during a visit by a group of our mutual friends, capturing a fleeting, tender exchange as she whispers to him, ostensibly just another customer interaction at first glance. However, this interaction is far from ordinary. Their proximity and the subtle tilt of their bodies toward one another transform an everyday scene into a snapshot of deep connection.”

“Cozy ambiance of a coffee shop, where Atwood engrossed in a study hangout with one of his close friends. The moment captured is after his return from the washroom, finding his friend deeply immersed in his project on his laptop, completely oblivious to Atwood’s presence as he enters his own flow state.”
